Upcoming Events

Commemoration for Reese Stanzel

The Perth & District Community Partners invite you to a community gathering and vigil at the Perth Dog Park in Darou Farm on Sunday, October 26 at 2 p.m. All are welcome.

This commemoration will offer space for healing, reflection, and support. The event will include poetry, a moment of silence, and a special bench dedication in memory of Reese. Mental health supports will be available on-site.

Schedule of Events:

  • 2:00 p.m. – Welcome and moment of silence led by Cathy McNally, Town of Perth’s Community Services Director
  • 2:05 p.m. – Poem read by Victoria Gibb-Carsley, Executive Director of the Perth and District Community Foundation
  • 2:15 p.m. – Live performance by Linda Grenier Music – Long Sault Trio
  • 2:30 p.m. – “My hope for our community is…” reflection activity
  • 2:35 p.m. – Bench dedication by Mayor Judy Brown
  • 2:45 p.m. – Ringing of bells
  • 2:50 p.m. – Event concludes


Responses to Questions from the Parent/Guardian and Caregiver Community Meeting

In late 2024, Kevin Cameron presented to our community about post-trauma responses and supports following the death of Reese Stanzel. Participants submitted questions following the gathering, and Kevin has responded to them in this video.
